Update on Dad: He is getting a central line put in his neck today. This will make it easier for them to more accurately know what his fluid levels are, and they can also give fluids/medicine and take blood for labs from there. I know he is not going to want his face covered for this procedure, so please for peace and comfort. They are going to transfer him to Ochsner today. He is very sick, and his white count is very high. Doctor said he may be sceptic--waiting on second culture to come back. They will be able to run more tests at the other hospital to see what the infection is, where its coming from, and if thats whats making his kidneys not work (still not working).
