Update on Jake the Chinese Crested with renal problems: Last night: We are on our way home with Jake. He currently has 4 lots of meds but only 2 will be for life. Blood pressure and phospho binder. There are some more coming on Tuesday. They are also giving us a diary with all his results and sections for us to fill in like a log book. They have said that his blood pressure wil slowly come down which is better than dropping it too fast. He has to have regular blood pressure checks and medical checks to keep an eye on him. They have said that with his blood pressure as it is he is currently stage 3 but it will drop once the meds kick in. So bloody happy and we could have kissed him!( the vet).x Morning Beverley, Jake slept like a log last night. He got us up at 5.30am as he wanted cuddles best feeling in the world to see his big brown eyes looking at you when you wake up! Just shows you, even at the darkest hour there is hope. These owners went quite literally the extra mile for second and third opinions when being PTS was looking like the only option. Keep sending Jake your best wishes. Sounds like a very happy dog and owner this morning!
