Update on Jimmy. The Jimmy story has been a roller coaster for me, my dog whom I rescued was suppose to be a temporary resident and turned in to long term. He got pretty sick shortly after coming here but I did not recognize the symptoms. After losing most of his tail hair, adding about 20 some odd pounds and becoming less active than a slug, literally, I started looking up his signs. I finally, took him to a vet who doesnt mess around with many $$$$ tests and he agreed, Jimmy had Hypothyroidism. He put him on the meds and in one week I started seeing a difference. Here we are 6 weeks into the treatment and I want to cry. This dog is amazing! He runs like the wind, has new tail hair, about a million new spots on his coat. He is bright and alert and an incredible joy!! I am in love. Watch your dear animal loves for signs like this because the meds make a night and day difference. I have never seen anything like it. Oh and believe it or not, he was always verbal, but he has learned to say mama. I am not kidding!!! He is a riot. He doesnt tell jokes yet but his vocabulary is very humorous. LOVE LOVE LOVE
