Update on Justin : Dr came in this morning and said he is still sick, but I think were turning the curve in the right direction :). His platelets are up to 123 from 68!!!! His bilirubin went from 12.9 to 12.2 and the dr is happy with that. He said it appears that it is down trending down (Another prayers answered). He did have a fever again last night around 101. So far all of his cultures are still negative, so he didnt seem to worried right now. His sodium is still a little high, so they are going to increase the free water rate (it doesnt have sodium in it like the other fluids he has been getting) He said the plan is to continue the bi vent he is on now at least through tonight or tomorrow, and then switch him to the conventional vent (like the one he was on before the bi vent). He said he wants to keep him on cruise control for now. Please pray that as they begin to try and transition from the current Bivent to the other one, that Justin tolerates it well, and that his oxygen stays strong through it all. Chest x ray still making small improvements! He seemed to be very happy with his progress!! Also pray that his fever will stay down, because sometimes it likes to try and creep back up, and they have to use the cooking blanket to cool him down. He is still on the feeding tube, and he got his picc line placed yesterday. It went very smoothly. They are still having to suction him occasionally, but he is tolerating it well. Thank you, thank you, for all of the prayers. We have felt Gods presence through this, and even though there have been ups and downs, we know God is working.
