Update on Keaton McCarley: as you all know he was scheduled to hedge the tracheostomy yesterday. They were unable to do this procedure. They had planned on doing this by his bedside. They looked at the inside of his airway with a camera first to make sure everything was good. Well they found a vessel (that is typically lower in the chest) is right where the trach would sit and leads to main artery. If they would have cut at bedside, They would not have had the proper resources to correct and stop the bleeding, this would have been devastating. Thanking God that the right person was operating that camera and saw it. They are consulting with surgeons this morning and they will take him to OR for the procedure, as they have to be extremely careful! I will update later, havent talked to anyone yet this morning.
