Update on Kobane!: I have not updated Kobane for a few weeks as the situation was largely positive and stable. However, over night there has been a frightening change as ISIS terrorists are now attacking Kobane from INSIDE Turkey- a NATO member, by the way (see map). How is ISIS able to do this considering that Turkey has the second largest army in NATO and if Turkey wanted to stop ISIS it could easily do so in a matter of minutes. This leaves one with only one conclusion: they have the tacit approval and support of the Turkish regime. There still remain thousands of civilians inside Kobane, including women, children, babies, the disabled and the elderly, who remain in danger more than ever. Undeterred, Asya Abdullah who is the female co-president of the PYD - the democratic party who have the YPG-YPJ as its military arm defending civilians in the cantons against ISIS terrorists- has stated that No attack can intimidate the women who are leading the march for freedom. Long live these brave women! Their fight against ISIS terrorists is a fight for all womens freedom across the world. Every time they send one ISIS terrorist to hell they prevent these terrorist from abusing civilian women and girls and preventing them from becoming emboldened enough to attack other countries and innocent civilians there.
