Update on Mom and Dad: Well, we are moving along very slowly and have made some progress. Dad still in Oak Grove Rehab--4405 Airline Dr.--Bossier City, LA. and will have a test run next week re his throat and the ability to swallow without a feeding tube. We are all praying for the best! He is able to transfer from bed to wheelchair, very, very slowly. It looks like he will be out and back home within 2 weeks and hopefully eating on his own. Mother is doing really well and has been getting much needed rest, has taken up reading novels again since her vision has improved greatly from the eye surgery. In 3 weeks she has read 2 novels and is now reading 2 at a time. GO MAMA JO! I think I will start teaching her how to paint, although she would have made an awesome abstract painter with her loss of vision (HA). Sorry for the delay in this Facebook update, I am always behind on a lot of things, but I always get it done. Thanks for all the inquiries and prayers. I have some pictures of both mom and dad that were taken on the front porch of the Rehab facility and will try my best to post them this weekend. LOL to all.
