Update on North Acres Bridge, cycletrack and citys full-blown effort it seems to get this right. For those familiar with the near 20 year history of this project, not much of a surprise to see this blowback. No doubt this has little to do with a sensible project at long last, but more about demographics and economic driven segregation in our fair city. The bridge/ cycletrack happens to connect a middle class predominately white neighborhood south of Little Walnut Creek to a predominately lower-income African American and Hispanic multi-family community north of the creek. R word anyone?
