Update on Polo the Hoolihound... Early friday mornin the skin split next to the stitches on her left back leg inside leaving an open wound 3 inches across.. We got her to the vets straight away and now were treating it as an open wound and putting manuka honey on it as the vet instructed.. Gonna be a slow healing process with as little exercise as possible and unfortunately meaning she cant be left alone for now.. This limits my time for rehearsing with the East End Badoes & The Flicking Vs for the next gig to weekends when Vicki is here, so fingers crossed I can manage not to let anyone down.. Wont put a picture of the wound up as itll put you off eating and give you nightmares.. Greyhounds skin is very thin, but Polos will grow back over the wound at a very slow rate.. Shes good in herself, frustrated she cant have a run in the woods or go out anywhere and HATES the lampshade/bonnet she has to wear to stop her licking at the wound!!
