Update on Programmer issue: Assumming my Programmer got wet somehow. I say my mistake very loosly.im still dealing with Cobra (manufacturer of programmer) I didnt do anything different than any of us with bikes have done. Took bike to car wash to wash bike and somehow programmer got wet even thou its mounted under seat like cobra recommends. I was caught in a hell of a downpour friday evening riding home from work. So I dont know which or if any caused it to get wet. Fact is it quit working. Took bike to bike mech, changed plugs went down street, same thing run on 1 cylinder, came back unhooked programmer ran like a champ. So its the programmer. Ill get another one (another 500.00) but waiting to see if cobra will replace it or am I going to have to eat it. As with any electronic device Im looking to eat it. Usually 90 days guarantee after install is it. Bought programmer April 16 so its only 6 months old but Im still pissed about it. It is what it is. My bike will get a bucket wash from now on. No car washes for me. My next programmer will be wrapped.trust me..talking to a biker friend he has a great idea with a house wrap material then twist tie the ends like a piece of candy. Update with Cobra: Had to send cobra proof of purchase which I have and they will send me a RA# to send them my programmer for inspection. I am hoping programmer just quit but I have mt daults. Cobra says there programmers are not waterproof. No kidding. What gets me guys and gals is this. If I screwed up Ill man up and say say I screwed up and eat the 500.00. What about these pu trucks and cars running programmers. There mounted mostly under hood on panel. Are they not getting wet. Do they not wash there vehicles. BS. I really hope it just quit. Id feel better about this and not blame me so much. With that said my bike will only get a bucket wash from now on.
