Update on Shealyn Thomson..I got to the hospital early this morning for the staff meeting. Shea had her first shore in four months...they have a special wheelchair that they roll right into the shower...how very exciting for her..I asked if she felt like a million bucks...she said not quite, but I do feel better.. The meeting went well..it was the staff doing their rounds...but every Tuesday morning we will all meet in Sheas room and she and I will be apart of it!!! Each member of the staff went over Shea, her stats, her abilities, her improvements ect. The doctor even asked me about my concerns and we got a lot straightened out with miscommunications! I came home to beautiful New Hampshire today to attend my son Mikeys awards night.. I was so proud that he got two excellent scholarships from the Rotary Club and Theater Arts! He also attained three awards..an Athletic Award, a Semper Fidelis Award for Music Excellence and Outstanding Acheivement in Technical and Scene Design Award. Kudos to my Mikey..those scholarships will certainly help with college next year!! I will be going back to Spaulding tomorrow to be with Shea..one thing they spoke of in the meeting was because we do not live near there that their goal was to get her to the point medically that she can transfer to a rehab closer to home or come home with visiting rehab...the heart specialist also came in for the first time and said they are going to start concentrating on her heart and will probably start talking to either Dartmouth, Cathelic Medical, Elliot Hospital or which ever one we choose at the time...he just feels we need to start X-rays and see the difference from back in February and have a plan.. I will be back tomorrow afternoon Shea...hope you have a great night..just wish I could scoop you up and bring you home for your brothers graduation..we will take lots of pictures..love you lots!!!!!!!!
