Update on Springfield (Now named Kirby) - Fantastic visit with Dr. Rogers today. The infection is now in check (thank you Dr. Brown!) and little Kirby will stay in Dr. Rogers care for a week to be monitored. X-rays on Monday. It is possible (say a prayer!!) that minimal surgery will need to be performed. Hip Hop Hooray!! He does have pain - most probably due to phantom limb/digit loss. He is properly dosed, being spoiled rotten (as it should be) and we will now pursue cruelty and other charges up in Springfield against the CL person. I will continue to update everyone as we go (: Thank you all so much for your prayers and thoughts. And now - pictures!!!!! Kirby was quite the hit as you can see (: You can also see how small he is - weighed in at 1.03 lbs. His birthday indicates that he is only just 8 weeks old - way small/underweight for a kit that age. He is eating very very well and falls asleep in his hay (: THANK you again Amanda (and mom LaDonna), Dr. Rogers and Carmen (vet tech) for loving our kids as much as you do. This could not have happened without Tammys post, my immediate call out to Amanda, and everyone else involved. Go Team Bunny!!!
