Update on Steve - he had a fusion of L4 L5 on Tuesday. L5 S1 are already fused. He is doing really well. Surgeon, PT, OT, Pain Management are all very happy with his progress. Has been walking with a walker for stability and safety. Too early to tell if he will be mostly out of pain but comparing this fusion to his last one, it is like night and day. He was so out of it with the first fusion he had no idea what was going on. He was so alert and had great coloring 3 hours after his surgery it was almost hard for me to believe. He is coming home tomorrow :) I will be home with him through August 3 and then on the 4th we go to post op visit with surgeon. Thank you everyone for you thoughts, prayers and support!
