Update on Tom. I am home for the night and catching up on a few chores. We have had such an outreach and so many friends and neighbors that have done so much for Tom and I. I can not even begin express our gratitude. Tom has been in the hospital now nine days. We know little more today than we knew the first day he was admitted. We now of many things that have not caused his health problems wo have been able to rule them out, but we still dont know what is causing the pneumonia to be so resistant to the antibiotics. The Lyme is the underlying factor that certainly suppressed his immune system, but they are not certain that is what is continuing the progression of his pneumonia. We are still awaiting the results of the bronchcoscopy (sp?) and some of those cultures may take up to two weeks. Tom is stable, her heart is no longer racing, his blood pressure is stable, his oxygen is between 6L to 8L, and higher up to 15L when he is moving about. We a actually did get him up for a brief walk today and he was able to use a walker and and a portable monitor to track his oxygen levels and his heart. He did great considering all things. Thanks again for the outreach and please continue to pray for Tom and for the doctors to have the wisdom to find the cause and get him on the mend.
