Update on mom. She is stable, her ICP is ranging between 9 &13 which is good. She is still releasing alot of fluid from her brain through the drain tube. When they take her off sedation she responds to commands and tries to open her eyes...its weak but she tries. She can take a breath over the ventilator but her ICP and blood pressure rises. She does have a low grade fever but with all that she has going on and the surgery she had that is somewhat normal. Just dont want it to get above 101. Nurse says they may try to wiene her slowly off the drain tube to check her brain pressure and the vent to see if she can start breathing easier on her own. They will still keep vent in just as an auto back up in case she has trouble. She seems to be making encouraging improvements especially from where she was last week. LSU has been wonderful!!!
