Update on my Dad Dirk: They finally moved him up into a regular room versus the closet as he called it. lol. He had been on the main floor since Wed night and the room was super small with no bathroom. Anywho, on top of having the seizure, bladder infection and UTI..the chest x-ray showed he has pneumonia in his lower right lung. They have him on an antibiotic and hes doing breathing treatments every 6 hours. Based on how well hes doing tomorrow, they might release him. Neurologist started him on a seizure medicine last night and wants to see how well he tolerates it. This medicine will help prevent future seizures. She wants to see him for a follow up in 2 weeks. She also scheduled an outpatient MRI for him on Tuesday at a place in Kansas. Lastly he will have to follow up with his primary Doctor in a week. That is all I know for now. When Dad was told he had pneumonia, he cried, it broke my heart. Poor guy cant seem to catch a break! Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
