Update on my Morgan: Just got home after being at the vets for a couple hours. While attempting to take her temp, she flipped out & tried biting the tech. They then tried using a mild sedative, but she was still trying to attack people so they had to completely knock her out. (The result of owning a furry spawn of Satan...) They had to flush the wound a bunch of times, there was a lot of infection. Had to stitch up the hole & put a drain in. Have to bring her back Friday at 3 to have the drain removed (if she doesnt get it out herself before then) and then again in 7-10 days to have the stitches removed. They dont have a clear diagnosis on what caused this, but said it might have been a spider, or a more un-common theory of a ruptured anal gland. (Leaning more towards spider since the abscess was far away from an anal gland)
