Update on my brother Garry. He is still a very very sick man. He is still in ICU. Garry got diagnosed with IPMN a very rare pancreas condition. Doctors in Wichita are dealing with doctors at John Hopkins. Basically the pancreas and pancreas ducts make mucus which contain cancer cells. These cells have blocked ducts and bile ducts in his abdominal region. The blockage in the bile ducts to the liver is what is making him the wonderful shade of pumpkin orange he is. He looks like the cheap tanning creams you used in the 70s that made your skin and hands turn orange. His whole body is like this. He also has pneumonia in both lungs. The antibiotics they give him for the pneumonia are very hard on his kidneys being a bad diabetic. They inserted a drain tube into his liver today to hopefully drain some of the mucus to help him. Doctors have recommended taking his entire pancreas out to help save his life. We can only do this if his other problems get better. Living without a pancreas will be very life changing with many new restrictions. Please continue to pray for him and our family. This has been a very tough and stressful week. A week of decisions and waiting. We have had to limit the visitors in ICU to immediate family only to help Garry rest. Too much company isnt good for him at this time.
