Update on my dad: First off, thank you guys so much for the prayers. Dad is still in the hospital where they are monitoring his condition till at the very earliest 5 pm today. After running a CT scan, it was confirmed this morning that dad had a massive stroke with the length of swelling being 6 cm. *****this is where your prayers came in******* Typically swelling of 1-3 cm doesnt require surgery but with 6 cm, surgery is automatic; however, God kept it to where it is just border line for surgery. It is truly a miracle. Thank the Lord. However, along with rehab, for the next year or so he will need to be on watch for surgery until the swelling will go down. But thankfully he is in good spirits and just as mean as ever lol. You guys have already been incredible about praying, but if I could ask, please pray that: 1. God would be glorified through this ordeal. 2. The swelling wont continue and begin shirking. 3. For dad that he wouldnt get frustrated with himself and that he would be careful for the next year or so and that we would be there to help and support him. 4. For moms spiritual, mental, and physical strength. I know all this has definitely taken a toll on her as well. Once again words cannot express how grateful our family is for your prayers, support, visits, and encouragement. I am just so thankful for the body of Christ. I honestly have no idea what I would do if I werent a Christian and didnt have a God that I knew was in complete control of everything and that I can rely 100% upon. He is so good. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 KJV)
