Update on my left shin - which was bashed into a metal post in the dark last night. I inadvertently woke my beloved Cindy around 4:00 AM whimpering in my sleep because, evidently, my poor injured shin was hurting. I woke up shortly after and obviously the meds Id taken had so worn off. Upon Cindy inspecting it, we discovered what I didnt realize last night...that fibers from my sock and pants leg had been driven into the scraped skin. Oy. That explains a lot. Cindy bravely treated my wounded leg with peroxide - lots of bubbling - antibiotic ointment and bandaided the site. I held my leg perfectly still for this, but cussed inventively through the process. Bruising and swelling also is becoming interesting, my foot is actually a bit swollen. My next goal is painting that #$@& metal post with screaming yellow glow in the dark paint! This weekend will be a put your feet up and rest occasion. By Monday I should be fine. Tomorrow is likely to be worse. As soon as the bruising hits maximum colors, I will be happy to share pictures, LOL! All in good fun! Im fine! And thanks to my Cindy for taking care of me!
