Update on our Mom: Just to recap the events of yesterday, she fell on the ice while skating and hit her head hard. She ended up with a hairline skull fracture with two small bleeds. She was very sick to her stomach and with all of that they decided to admit her to Gundersen in Lacrosse to make sure the bleeds stayed small. When we saw the physician assistant with the neuro team she thinks in addition to everything mom has knocked the crystals loose in her inner ear. This would explain the persistent vomiting whenever she moves. Her neuro exams have been very stable which mean the bleeds are staying small and resolving themselves, blood pressure is better than most teenagers, and they thought they had the nausea under control until she moved too fast this morning. The thought is that she will get to come home today but she will need to see the physical therapist for vestibular rehab (getting the crystals back in alignment). Thank you for all of the prayers.
