Update on the ENZED MegaMonster motor. We are gutted that we couldnt finish what we started on Saturday but the outcome could have been worse. We broke a crankshaft but it fortunately hasnt done other damage. The motor was fully crack tested prior to the World championship. Having said that we know to build such a successful motor as this required a huge amount of effort and knowledge from all our valued suppliers. Our crankshaft supplier builds the best cranks in the world, but this is the biggest motor of its kind on the planet. As ever in motorsport there are risks balanced against ultimate performance. In summation the motor has helped us to win two NZ titles and the current World championship so that isnt too bad. Phil Pagan from Tracksport was the first to contact us offering help so we drove to Auckland yesterday. Phil and Pete removed the motor and stripped it to assess the damage. Fortunately we have a spare crankshaft available and Phil is ordering a couple of other parts needed to rebuild the motor. We will be racing at Bay Park but at this stage we are not sure with which package.
