Update on the Fountain Hills barn owl… Bad news and good news. The bad news is that this little guy will never fly again because of his broken wing, and so cant be released. He is a young bird who unfortunately made a mistake early in life. The good news is that this bird is healthy and strong now, and will most likely become an education bird, and become an ambassador for his species. If people in this community (Shari) hadnt cared enough to notify me or someone else to get help, this bird would have died. He is doing great here at Liberty Wildlife. Can you see how he raises his wings up in this picture? That is a defensive posture-- he is scared and he does that to try to make himself look bigger. You all rock. Thank you for caring!
