Update on the bootleg booths: Hello everyone! As promised, I tried to pinpoint some places where bootlegs were very obvious. As I am personally a figure collector, I aimed mostly for the places selling figures. I did not get a whole lot of pictures unfortunately. However, I can describe some other places where the fake products were lying around. Comex Hobby, of course, did not disappoint me this year with their lack of official merchandise and huge table of knock-offs. So please stay away from there, especially with figures! Any place selling dakimakura pillows were selling knock offs, as well as wall scrolls. I dont think I saw a single authentic one. I had a good chance to look around, seeing as I had an X-Pass and there was little traffic. I will leave a link to an album on Imgur for the bootleg booths to avoid, as well as a couple good booths selling authentic merchandise! c: I really hope this helps and encourages everyone to purchase official product. While yes, your fake products are a lot cheaper, youre once again supporting an illegal industry that hurts all your fandoms! ;_; If you want merchandise with high quality to continue being made, you have to remember to buy official things! Support the industry! ; u; There was also a large amount of fan art that was stolen to create these products. Imagine if you were that artist. How would you feel knowing your drawing you worked so hard on has been stolen and is being used to make profit while you dont earn a single dime? Itd be terrible. Keep all these things in mind, and happy hunting! :D (I will try my best to find more places on Saturday with issues, and hopefully make an update DURING the convention!)
