Update on weather/missed days: Currently, PCSSD students have missed five days of the state-mandated 178 days of school due to inclement weather. Per the Districts calendar, this means that the last day for students and teachers will be June 5. Also, students will attend school on Good Friday, April 18, which was a scheduled make-up day. The district leadership team has not made a determination about school tomorrow because the forecast is borderline. We have had teams of drivers in our transportation department -- as well as our superintendent -- out driving the roads all day to look for icy patches. This is a 739-square-mile district and we know there are areas out there that we need to be watched carefully. We have been trying hard to let you know as soon as we possibly can about school closures and making sure the safety of your students comes first. We will continue to do that. Remember, we only post to pcssd.org, Facebook or twitter or make a call when school is CLOSED. We do not make announcements when school is open. Thank you!
