Update: troubled 16-yo teen in Limpopo court for double-murder of good-samaritan Afrikaner couple Will and Anje Kiesling, 69 & 66: - May 19 2014 By SAPA --Pokoswane Limpopo - A white teenager appeared in the Magistrates Court on Monday for the double-murders of Will and Anje Kiesling, 69 and 66, a a good-samaritan Afrikaner farm couple who had taken the youth under their wing to help him with his drug-problem on their farm near Potgietersrus close to the Botswana border. The youth was ordered to appear in the same court room on June 5 2014 while the case was further investigated said SAPS colonel Ronel Otto.The teenager chose not to apply for bail at his last appearance. He is being kept in a place of safety, Otto said The 16-year-old was arrested at his guardians house in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. He first appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court at the end of March. Police said the matter was transferred to Mokopane because the bodies of the couple were discovered on their farm. Police found the bodies of the murdered 69-year-old man and 66-year-old woman after their relatives had been unable to contact them. Sapa ---------------------------------------- April 1 2014 report: - The 16-year-old boy who was arrested on Monday in connection with the double murder of a farming couple in the Zanzibar district of Limpopo had apparently visited them to get his head clean.Beeld reported that the youth apparently had a drug problem and had arrived at the couples farm three weeks earlier. The decomposing bodies of Will, 69, and Anje, 66, Kiesling were found in their home orth of Potgietersrus near the Botswana border last Friday. It is believed they were murdered about four days earlier (on Monday).Sapa reported on Monday that the youth was arrested at his guardians house in Mossel Bayning. He appeared in the local magistrates court and will remain in custody. The case was postponed to 7 April as it will be transferred to the Mokopane Magistrates Court in Limpopo. According to Beeld, shocked family members did not want to speak about the incident, but the couples son-in-law said the double-murders should never have happened in their house. A friend of the couple said he had met the teenager when he had visited the farm, and that the teenager appeared to be friendly and relaxed. ------------- Apr 1 2014 report: Spoorsnyers followed leads leading to arrest of 16-year-old teen for double-murder of elderly Afrikaans couple on a farm north of Potgietersrus near the Botswana border. A white youth was arrested for farm attack which occurred near the Zanzibar border post: Spoorsnyers reported on their facebook page: On Friday night March 28 2014 the Spoorsnyers SAPS team colonel Louwrens and w/o Van Wyk were called out to a farm-attack near the Zanzibar border post. W/o de Lange was waiting for us at the farm. He pointed out the scene to us. The investigation showed that the attack must have happened Monday March 24 2014 or thereabouts. Spoorsnyers searched the parametre around the fencing and the house - we could not gain access from outside the property. There were no suspected signs of breakins. The couples Ford bakkie, handgun and cellphones are missing.Colonel Louwrens requires the assistance of the Pretoria C.S.M. team to conduct the forensic investigation. We followed up further leads throughout the weekend and identified one suspect. -- A white minor youth has been arrested in Mossel Bay in connection with this farm attack.
