Updated Wrimosaurs of Brant-Norfolk Facebook Group “Terms of Use” Guidelines Updated October 1st, 2014 This group is intended for the Brant-Norfolk participants of NaNoWriMo, past and present. It is an alternate form of communication offered throughout the event and the rest of the year, and participants are reminded to keep conversation relevant and on-topic to the group’s purposes. Self-promotional post privileges will be limited to those group members who have participated in NaNoWriMo in a given year, verifiable by ML on nanowrimo.org. In order to maintain group flow, these participants are limited to ONE (1) self-promotional post per month.* This includes but is not limited to: Book advertisements/announcements, notices of book signings or events, writing-related service announcements, participant interviews in any media. Please note that posts promoting books, interviews, or services irrelevant to NaNoWriMo (ie. books not written by the participant but for which the participant has a vested financial interest; blog posts promoting non-NaNo authors or topics) will be removed. There are other general writing groups that would be a more appropriate place to post such items, and we encourage you to do so there. Any self-promotional posts above and beyond that ONE (1) post per month will be deleted immediately by a group admin or ML. Please also note that self-promotion in this group is a privilege, not a right, and it is granted in order to further enrich the experience and interactions of Brant-Norfolk NaNo participants. If you consistently post self-promotional posts without engaging with others (ie. neglecting the whole purpose of social media) and over the course of three months your only interaction with this group is to post a promotional item and then leave, your self-promotional posts will be subsequently removed. If you are uncertain as to whether your post falls under the above guidelines or if you have questions regarding what may or may not be self-promotion, please message the group admin or ML! Your concern will be addressed as quickly as possible. *Self-promotional posts advertising a product or service that benefits Brant-Norfolk NaNo’s local or general fundraising efforts are currently unrestricted, and participants with these products or services may post once per week during the “NaNo high season” (ie. October 1st-December 31st).
