Upon graduating from the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Arts Management, Jenna Jackson has enjoyed performing and teaching all over the country! She performed overseas on the island of Guam in “Dream” at the Sandcastle Theater. She was not only a dancer in the show, but also worked closely with live tigers and various stunts as a magicians assistant. While residing on the island, she taught ballet, tap, jazz, theater dance and creative movement to all ages from all over the world. Jenna introduced tap dance to a studio called Danzjazz, and gave many students the rare opportunity to learn the technique and perform the style at recitals and competitions. Jenna modeled for several companies in print work on Guam and served as a storefront model for Chloe, Dunhill and Marc Jacobs. After Jenna returned stateside, she moved to New York and served as a substitute dance teacher in the city. She was then cast by the Wohlfahrt Haus Theater in VA in their productions of “The True Meaning of Christmas” and “Hairspray”. While residing in VA, she formed a liturgical dance team at the First United Methodist Church in Hillsville and choreographed and staged two pieces. Jenna is currently performing as a swing at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta in their Christmas production of “A Symphony of Snow!” She is also substitute teaching at Dance 101 and other studios in the Atlanta area. Jenna states, “I am so thankful for the solid foundation of training I received at OCU! The connections I have made through OCU have helped in every aspect of my journey and continue to shape my lifelong dedication to the performing arts!” Congratulations, Jenna! We are proud of all your success and cant wait to hear more!
