Upon my second viewing of Interstellar today, I can now confirm my initial suspicions; it is a masterpiece. A masterpiece of cinema to be exact. There are many movies released these days that seem to act as filler, something menial to occupy and distract ones brain from our arduous day to day, but this goes far beyond that. It uses the vehicle that is cinema itself to convey not just an overarching theme, but a feeling. A feeling that defies words, that literally left me speechless when leaving the cinema.
