Upon remembering the late Bicolano DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo, I - TopicsExpress

Upon remembering the late Bicolano DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo, I still have questions. The facts surrounding the plane crash and death of Sec.Jesse Robredo are causing us grave concern. Many serious and delicate questions have arisen as a result. We call on the Aquino Administration to answer said questions in the interest of public welfare and national security. We even call for an urgent and immediate investigation of the recent chain of events surrounding his death. The first set of questions involves the lone survivor of the plane crash, PNP Senior June Peolo Abrazado. Why did Abrazado tell the fisherman who rescued him and was able to hold the hand of Robredo to let go because the plane will explode anytime? Why was Abrazado able to get out of the plane and his other three companions not able to? There seems to have been enough time from the time the plane passengers knew there was engine trouble up to the time of actual crash to prepare and plan their break out to safety. Abrazado says “nahilo siya” and became unconscious, but why was he able to get to safety and had the presence of mind to bring his bag along with him. In moments of near death one does not even think of his possessions much less his bag but to scamper to safety immediately. Abrazado further says that he was suffering from aerophobia but our military sources say then he should not have been allowed to fly with Robredo. And if he had aerophobia why was he comfortably texting or calling Undersecretary Puno to report what was happening to them. Usually in cases of emergency one contacts his family not his boss unless he has a mission to accomplish and report. How true is it that Abrazado is very close to a top official who has been wanting to be appointed as DILG Secretary? This brings us to the next set of questions addressed to Undersecretary Puno. Why was Abrazado reporting to him as per the information he gave through a radio interview that at a time when Abrazado should have been attending to his immediate boss, Robredo, he was exerting time and effort to contact Puno? This happened two times. USec Puno also said in his radio interview that he was the one who initially suggested and or got in touch with the plane management for Secretary Robredo’s use. Finally, why are there reports that USec Puno attempted to resign in the aftermath of the crash? We have also heard reports that he was lobbying for the past few months to replace Robredo. The last set of questions are for Noynoy Aquino himself. What were his official reasons why he delegated Secretary Robredo to replace him for the Cebu event? Was the substitution sudden or way back? Why did he order Secretary Leila de Lima to personally padlock the office of Secretary Robredo at DILG? Does this usually happen when cabinet secretaries die, their offices padlocked? Why has he allowed his Presidential Security Guard to personally watch the office of Robredo after it was padlocked by De Lima? Does the DILG not have their own security guards? Why did De Lima invade the privacy of the condo residence of the Robredo family saying Robredo’s wife requested them which the latter seems to have denied. What is the public not being told, Mr. BSA III? Does he know that a huge amount of funds is reportedly missing in the DILG? Is it because Robredo was said to be involved in and negotiating for government in the kidnapping case of the Jordanian journalist and companions and that US$3M had been sent to Robredo for the captives but that the money seems to be missing? In view of all the above it seems necessary that an autopsy of the bodies found in the plane crash be done. It causes us real alarm that the Secretary’s death was probably no accident. This raises the question; is the seeming frenzy to turn him into a hero a cover-up for a conspiracy? Is not government going overboard in its efforts? We have received information that the death of Robredo brings us closer to the takeover of sinister forces in government particularly through the control of the offices of the Chief Justice, the DOJ, and the DILG including the PNP with the legislative already effectively managed. Who the ultimate beneficiaries of this event will be, will lead us to the truth, and justice should be meted them. Source: s4s.org.ph/blog/statement-on-the-death-of-secretary-jesse-robredo/
