Urbanna Auction Restructuring Notice... Its with mixed emotions that we are announcing restructuring .. Our plans are to have an office in one of the historic buildings of Urbanna, and no longer keep this old building..... Not only can we use the house as an office for the Auction..but a personal online sales headquarters. light storage and pricing area for our booths and maybe even hang a shingle out and have it for some light retail sales in the future.... We plan to expand and perhaps get other booths for retail sales as well.... The Urbanna Auction will live on though.. The tentative plans are to accept entire estates or large inputs of quality items only.. We have many hurdles ahead..such as storage.. and the biggest challenge is finding a venue for the auctions... Once the dust settles, we plan to start calling around to places such as our local Urbanna Firehouse or Rescue Squad to maybe utilize their buildings or maybe even use this old building if it is available.. We are thinking of having Saturday auctions too.. We can advertise them better and feel we can get a bigger crowds that way.. I feel confident we will figure all this out in the weeks ahead. If you have any personal input.. information or, ideas.. please dont hesitate to let me know.. We are who we are today with the support of community and friends.. We have had a certain amount of success...but we always fall back into the void of not being able to obtain quality merchandise for the auctions.. If we cant sell decent things, then we cannot survive.. You cannot live on junk.. left over estate sales items or yard sales items.. I personally love Flea Markets.. But those types of items are poison to an auction house.. We have made wonderful friends over the past 5 1/2 years here and hope everybody will hang tight until we figure out our next auction moves.. Keep your chin up...)
