Urgent: Defend the right of political protest! Defend the SNP Three! (please copy, paste and share to all your YES friends) Unionist politicians and media have gone into overdrive attacking a perfectly safe, symbolic and legitimate protest by 3 SNP councillors who burned a copy of the Smith Report in protest at its failure to meet the so-called Vow and the democratic aspirations of the Scottish people. (see details below) Regrettably, it looks like unionist hysteria may have had an effect with the SNP suspending the 3 (why??) pending an investigation (into what exactly?). The Point calls on Yes supporters everywhere to e-mail the First Ministers office calling for any threat of action against the three to be lifted, and the right of free political protest to be stoutly upheld. If we allow the likes of Willie Rennie, Anas Anwar and the BBC to demonise legitimate political protest as mild as this - what are they going to be demanding next?
