Urgent Health Advisory--OxyELITE Pro, VERSA-1, CRAZE, DETONATE The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have issued warnings regarding four dietary supplements for weight loss/muscle building. CDC reports a number of previously healthy individuals have developed acute hepatitis and liver failure after using OxyELITE Pro; VERSA-1 contains the same active ingredient as OxyELITE Pro. CRAZE and DETONATE both contain an unapproved substance, similar to methamphetamine, that has caused positive drug screens in some athletes. Following CDC and FDA recommendation, all personnel should discontinue use of these four products. They have been removed from the JBSA-L Exchange GNC store. Individuals who have used OxyELITE Pro or VERSA-1 should seek medical attention if they experience any of the following symptoms: abdominal pain or tenderness, fatigue, yellow skin or eyes, dark (brown) urine, decreased appetite.
