Contracts Engineer - ( Contract Hire- Long Term ) Preferred candidate must at least have RICS APC and involved in Oil & Gas projects/industry Contracts Engineer reports to Projects Procurement & Contracts Department Head, along with other Senior Engineers and Engineers of the Contracts and Procurement and Material Control Sections. Is generally assigned to the Major Projects, which are relatively less complex and lower in value. The incumbent works on projects with relatively lower complexity and value. The work needs close coordination with various members of the Project Management Teams including Project Managers, Discipline Engineers, Procurement, Planning, Cost Engineers and Accountants. MAIN CHALLENGES • Each and every submission of the contractor requires to be analysed from contractual angle to determine the basis for refuting the claims for “out of scope” work implications on cost and time. The contractual implications can be significant in cost considering the high value contacts and therefore demanding timely and smart handling. • Preparation of Tender documents and finalization of the Agreement documents are complex tasks. These involve considerable coordination and follow up with several personnel in various departments of Projects group while the overall responsibility for accuracy and timely completion lies with the incumbent.
