Uri Maimon was killed in the Yom Kippur War, 40 years have passed and the special hiking youth movement in memory of Uri Maimon became JNF-Green Horizons. Two months before the Yom Kippur War, Uri began his PhD studies at the University of Michigan.When the war was broke out he rushed back to to Israel. Uri told his friend: "Twenty thousand men ran to the baseball game and filled the roads, and no one imagined that I ran to catch the first plane to Israel because my HOME was burning ". We are the followers of Uri and his love of country.
