User Interaction Designer (part-time/1 year contract) Company Info A major supplier for Emergency Warning and Mass Notification Systems, located in Boston, USA, is looking forward to extend the software development team in its Cairo branch, located in Al-Manial. Job Description We are looking for an experienced User Interaction designer; as a UI designer you’ll be responsible for defining the visual layout, graphic elements, and overall look of the applications to ensure consistent look and feel. Produce style guides, templates, screen layouts, color palettes, typography, user interface elements, icons, logos. Collaborates closely with the software development team to ensure successful, consistent designs are implemented. Your Job responsibilities will include: Design the visual styles for supporting UIs Create wireframes that illustrate site layout, navigation, controls, and content prioritization Develop and maintain sitemap and wireframe mockups, usage scenarios, prototypes, specifications and other design documents to communicate design idea Produce high-quality visual designs -- from concept to execution, including those for desktop, web, and mobile devices Develop the UI for websites, desktop applications and mobile apps. Includes using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript and Responsive design techniques. Job Qualification degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent 2+ years of experience working in the interactive design field Experience in creating UI designs for apps both iOS and Android Experience designing web and landing pages Advanced capability in using design software, such as Adobe CS Extensive knowledge of HTML5 and CSS Extensive knowledge with responsive design techniques Experience with Bootstrap is a plus Experience with Less is a plus Experience with JQuery and Java Script is a plus Be creative, have a clean and simple style, be able to meet deadlines Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Exceptional attention to detail We want a person who is creative, self-motivated, organized; team oriented who will be expected to work hand in hand with our team to develop and maintain a suite of Mass Notification applications (desktop, web & mobile) across a wide range of platforms, including Windows, Mac OS, Android and iOS.
