Using geometry as light emitting objects in 3DS Max and animating them using a Sine function, although Im having quite a bit of trouble with color banding. Im using 16-bit color .tiff files. If you know how to solve this problem from within 3DS Max, please let me know! For now Im relying on a Noise filter in After Effects, but that just creates some nasty flashing effect.
