Usually when school is out his den does not meet. Ironically, their den leader felt the need to get them back on track and felt they had enough of a break. We are just getting in from his den night where they are working on their good citizen badges. I had a moment as I watched him with all the other boys and realized that the dream truly has become a reality. 50 years ago he would not have been able to sit at that table and talk about what things they could do together to encourage others to be good citizens. For him to voice his opinion and be respected for it says that we have made progress with the newer generation.
