Utility Company Training CONSIDER WORKING FOR A UTILITY COMPANY! Are you hoping to find good-paying, hands-on, and often non-office work, but aren’t sure what you want to do? Please see the notice below about a Cochise College Introduction to Utility Industry class being offered this spring. There are NO prerequisites and good intro to those who want training and employment in this growing field. Please pass this on to any interested parties or agencies I may have missed. Thanks! As you may be aware, any student wanting to work in the Utilities field (natural gas, electric, power providers) and wanting the BCT Utilities certificate (short-term training—only 7 classes plus a field experience) from Cochise College needs to complete the BCT 112—Intro to Utilities class. This class is a MUST for entry into the field, whether for a co-op/internship or to gain employment in the field. IT IS ONLY OFFERED ONCE A YEAR, and is being offered this spring. Please mention to ALL BCT majors (or any student or client, even non BCT, hoping to find good-paying, hands-on, and often non-office work, but aren’t sure what they want to do)! We have had several students do internships and then get hired by local employers. Those willing to relocate face even better prospects. THE UTILITIES INDUSTRY IS A GROWING FIELD NATIONWIDE, with good pay and move-up potential to supervisory levels. The BCT 112 class is offered this semester on Tuesday nights, 5:00-7:30 PM on the Cochise College Sierra Vista Campus. Students must register soon--no later than Monday the 12th.
