In this workshop I will teach you the fundamentals of all three styles. Here is some background information : / Old Way/New Way Vogueing / These styles of vogueing are based on lines and poses. Created in the vogue ballroom scene, it is inspired by high-fashion runways and magazines, as well as by martial arts poses and fierceness. In my workshop you will be introduced to the five elements of Old Way/New Way vogueing : catwalk, spins, dips, hands and floor performance. You will learn to create new lines and angles with your hands, arms, head, torso and legs to the rhythm of the music. Vogueing is all about your true essence (“realness”), being larger-than-life and playing with your personality to create new characters. / Vogue Femme / Vogue Femme originated as a dance performed by gay men who adopted “feminine behaviour” to play with and rebel against gender norms and stereotypes. Today it is a style that is danced by men and women alike. This style of vogueing has 6 elements : catwalk, spins, dips, hands, floor performance and duckwalk. In my workshop, you will learn how to articulate your hands and wrists, and hips and feet in order to tap into your sensual self.
