VACANCIES - GRAZING COORDINATOR (2 POSTS) Namunyak Wildlife Conservation Trust (NWCT) is a community-based wildlife conservation organization in Samburu and whose mission is to promote wildlife conservation and socioeconomic development through sustainable utilization of natural resources. NWCT is seeking to fill two positions of Grazing Coordinators. The Grazing Coordinators will be responsible for the supervision and effective implementation of rangeland management activities in Namunyak Conservancy and other areas as required. Core responsibilities include: Management of rangeland rehabilitation and planned land use activities Supervision of all grazing management plans and activities Qualifications Must be a Kenyan citizen with a keen interest in rangeland management with the objective of improving conditions for wildlife and community livelihoods. A minimum of diploma level of education with qualifications in rangeland management, plant ecology and/or livestock husbandry preferred. A bachelor’s degree in relevant field will be an added advantage Must be skilled in inter-personal communications, have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders including communities and government agencies. Must be computer literate and fluent in both written and spoken English. Have a valid motorbike riding license. Willingness to work, travel and live in the field. Note that first priority will be given to QUALIFIED members of KALEPO and NGILIA units of Namunyak Conservancy. All applications MUST be sent via email.
