Limited is a newly established firm which operates a fleet of 10 trucks transport transit cargo to Bujumbura, Kigali, Lubumbashi, Kampala, Isaka & Goma. We are looking to recruit a logistics officer who will be based in Dar Es Salaam to undertake the following duties: 1. Coordinate all trucks from loading to offloading points 2. Plan allocation and liaise with all drivers during their departure 3. Liaise with the central workshop in Dar Es Salaam on services, repairs, major overhauls etc. 4. Coordinate and correspond via email, fax to all suppliers on goods and loading and offloading schedule 5. Arrange all transit documentation for TRA to ensure timely loading of trucks 6. Arrange all documentation for border clearance for loaded trucks to ensure timely delivery of cargo 7. Coordinate with loading supervisor in Mbeya for loading trucks after completion of documentation 8. Arrange supply of diesel, Tyre, tarpaulin stock according to weekly consumption schedule 9. Liaise with representatives at offloading site to ensure timely turnaround 10. Plan with the accounts department all driver allowances, visa fees and comesa cards and custom documentation prior to departure in Dar Es Salaam 11. Arrange calibration of trailers when needed and ensure all trucks conform to health and safety regulations 12. Arrange insurance for all trucks transiting to neighboring destinations 13. Compiling GPS report from traffic department daily and presenting to the management 14. Preparation of daily, monthly and quarterly turnaround reports for the management.
