VACANCY: Regional Partnerships - Manager, Zimbabwe: Zimbisa Deadline: 29 August 2014 As part of its capacity building for organisations, Zimbisa raises funding to provide strategy and consultancy advice, training and testing of innovative products in the space of producing evidence for consultation for growth policies. We therefore find market resources such as consultants and service providers that can help organisations become effective in this area and introduce them to our clients. Zimbisa would like to recruit a Partnerships Manager for one of these market resources specialising in innovative technology for cost effective consultation. The Partnerships Manager will expand the partner/user base and develop a scalable business development methodology for bringing new users to an innovative mobile engagement platform. They will report to the head of business development and work with a growing team of partnership development managers and team members. The perfect candidate will be able to work independently and with a team based in 3 different countries. The Partnerships Manager will be the individual representing the company in Zimbabwe, as well as reach out to partners in neighboring countries. For technical partnerships, they will need to interact with the technology team to carry feedback and ensure we are providing clients with the best technical solutions. Top 3 responsibilities - Develop new leads through content marketing, speaking at conferences, networking and research - Create a compelling value proposition for potential partners, help co-design projects, and lead a successful trial - Finalize the partnership details and set-up the partner for a positive experience. Top 3 objectives - Build 25 new partner relationships/quarter - Develop a scalable business development methodology including reusable customer value propositions and use-cases - Ensure all customers have a positive experience, achieve their objectives and desire to be repeat users of the platform Stretch Target Bring in $50,000 worth of new business partnerships in the first 6 months. About the Client The client is a fast growing tech start-up and social enterprise with offices in the US and Africa. Their services help partners to distribute and collect information by engaging difficult to reach populations through their mobile phones. They specialize in interactive voice calls (including IVR) and SMS in local languages, instantly reaching across distance, language, and literacy barriers. The platform has already served a wide variety of cases such as, in 22 countries to reach over 250,000 people. This includes national public interest surveys, rural clinics that distribute maternal health education, policy makers who study vaccine supply chains, economic development organizations who reach out to farmers, urban planners who monitor water distribution access, and academics who research the effect of public health interventions. The client, currently with 15 employees, is hoping to actively expand service to private sector companies. The team is an energetic, thoughtful, upbeat group of people that are passionate about information sharing, feedback loops, and social impact. They build cutting-edge tools and roll out powerful new software every two weeks. They tap into every team members creativity to the maximum and invest heavinly in each others skills and development. About you Qualifications University degree; Prior experience working in: B2B/enterprise sales or business development role; B2B/enterprise marketing role; account management and customer service; consulting or building solutions for partners; startup company and/or social enterprise Skills Sales - listening to partner needs, crafting a value proposition, creating a successful trial experience, problem solving, closing, collecting, ensuring a positive experience and building a long term relationship; Content marketing - excellent writing skills to: create promotional materials, respond to RFPs, draft concept notes, submit grant applications, manage our website and newsletters, etc; Management skills - experience building a cohesive team, crafting a productive and fun culture, and recruiting top talent; Teamwork - sense of humor, flexibility, humility, loyalty and dedication to the teams goals; Language: English is sufficient.
