VAN DER ENDE WINS 2ND PICKUP RACE After finishing second place this morning, Jack van der Ende kept up the good pace and won the second MW-V6 Pickup Series race: “Obviously it went well to finish first. I was in a fight with Danny van Dongen in the beginning. He made a mistake at the hairpin and he spun, so then I had a clear track. I just had to make sure to stay away from Alx Danielsson, because he was quicker during the second bit. So I just had to defend in the last corners and then I knew I could win.” Alx Danielsson, who had some troubles earlier, got to second place: “I am finally back on the podium. We had a bit of misfortune with the transmissions differential and we’re still lacking power, but I can keep up in the top. So I can just about get there but not quite. I have to be happy, because I had a lot of pressure from behind as well.” Pim van Riet: “We are still developing the car and it’s getting better every time. For me it’s the first time with the pickup. It is hard to drive the car, but that doesn’t make it any less fun. There are good drivers in this championship. I drove a fair game and could have battled more, but that would have brought me too many risks as well.
