VANDALIA — A Vandalia-based supplier in the automotive industry is among 14 companies that will receive assistance from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority, according to Gov. John Kasich’s communication department. Saia-Burgess LLC, located at 801 Scholz Dr., supplies stepper motors, switches, actuators and electronic controllers to customers within the automotive, industrial and infrastructure automation industry. The company plans to expand in the city of Vandalia, according to Stephanie Gostomski, spokeswoman for the Ohio Development Services Agency. The TCA approved a 50 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for a Saia-Burgess to create 100 full-time positions. This project is expected to generate $3 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $10.5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Vandalia.
