VCI has put out a couple of Mexi-Monster favorites: CURSE OF THE DOLL PEOPLE (1961) and NIGHT OF THE BLOODY APES (1968). This time around they feature BOTH the original Spanish language version AND the English dubbed version! This is great for the collectors that dont want to read subtitles, or have Spanish language only. These two are rather different styled films. CURSE OF THE DOLL PEOPLE is more creepy/subtle with weird little killer doll people crawling out of grandfather clocks and lurking in shadows. NIGHT OF THE BLOODY APES is more bombastic with utter nuttiness, some gore and wrestling. Its really kinda weird to think the same year NIGHT OF THE BLOODY APES came out, PLANET OF THE APES was also in theaters. Theres another contrast in style (and budget) for you.
