VERY GLAD to join Journal of Inklings Studies Editorial Board as the new Subscriptions Editor! This is indeed a top-notch journal, and I am in great company: The meticulous Executive Editors are Judith Wolfe and Brendan Wolfe (Oxford), the Subject Editors include the illustrious Holly Ordway (Houston), the acting Review Editor is the wise David Baird (St Andrews), and the Editorial Advisory Board include the legendary Walter Hooper (Oxford), the man who revolutionized Lewis scholarship Michael Ward (Oxford), the formidable Eric Gregory (Princeton), Barfields grandson Owen A. Barfield - and many more. The Journal of Inklings Studies, formerly known as the C. S. Lewis Chronicle, has had an amazing past, and it has an even more amazing trajectory - hence the need to expand the Editorial Team to meet the new demands. Only a fraction of the article proposals make it through double blind review to final publication - and this is a testimony of growing ACADEMIC interest in Lewis, Tolkien, Chesterton etc. and the topics that interested them. Meanwhile POPULAR interest, too, continues to grow. Everyone needs challenges, right? As Subscription Editor I have set a goal to triple (!) the number institutional subscriptions by the end of 2016. I will do my best!
