VIA dailytrust: BAUCHI LAWMAKERS ORDER REMOVAL OF EDUCATION COMMISSIONER Category: News Published on Friday, 30 August 2013 05:00 Written by Ahmed Mohammed, Bauchi Hits: 311 The Bauchi State House of Assembly has ordered for the immediate removal of the commissioner for education, Ibrahim Mohammed Aminu. The order followed a motion moved yesterday by the member representing Darazo constituency, Dayyabu Chiroma. The lawmaker said the commissioner has not being able to handle the ministry well. A member representing Udubo Constituency, Abdullahi Umar, also presented a motion under matters of urgent public importance on the need to arrest the multiple problems bedevilling the education sector in the state. Several members of the House, who spoke highlighted some of the problems affecting the sector. After the debate, Speaker of the House, Yahaya Mohammed Miya, who presided over the sitting, directed the Clerk of the House to write to the executive for immediate action. The speaker also constituted a nine man committee to investigate the tenure of the commissioner.
