VICS PICK: Lollapalooza August 1st - 3rd Friday, Saturday, and Sunday @ Grant Park in Chicago 8 different stages featuring a slew of musical options from which to choose! The annual music festival returns to Chicago once again. Conceived and created in 1991 by Janes Addiction singer Perry Farrell as a farewell tour for his band, his idea morphed into a larger-than-life musical roadshow that would bring music, culture, and community to fans all over the continent. From its inception through 1997, and its revival in 2003, Lollapalooza toured North America. In 2005, its format was changed into its current one as a weekend destination festival in Chicago.
