VICS PICK: The Black Keys featuring Patrick Carney Tonight - Sunday, September 28th @ United Center just blocks away from Vics! @ 8pm In 2001, drummer Patrick Carney and lead singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach formed The Black Keys. Encouraged by a mutual friend, the duo began jamming together in 1996, as Auerbach was still learning guitar and Carney owned a four-track recorder and a drum set. Carney and Auerbach soon began recording music in basements and self-producing their records. Since then, The Black Keys have released eight albums and have won seven Grammys. Tonight is The Black Keys second night of a two night stay in Chicago. Theyre out on their North American tour in support of their current #1 album, Turn Blue. Great indie rock!
